I know. The idea of rubbing the edible plant grease all over your face is completely the opposite of what many of us grew up learning. I know. It’s weird.
Most of us grew up with the idea that oil was the cause of our bad skin. I thought that the more I could get rid of oil, the better I would look and that belief lead me to years of buying prescription medication, cleansers, and lotions that said “oil reducing”. I spent a ton of money and my skin only got worse! Eventually, I gave up all the expensive oil stripping products and things started to get better.
While everyone desires to look beautiful, this need is usually misplaced. Looking beautiful in the outside is as a direct result of how well your internal system is functioning.
Having a well balanced diet and engaging in regular exercises will go a long way in bringing out the beauty in you. Commercial beauty products could help but more often than not the really good ones are rather expensive.
It is much better using natural remedies that are cheap, easy to get and have no side effects.
Why Coconut Oil?
Because coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, antifungal, moisturizing. It contains lauric acid which is good for improving skin conditions by healing wounds, reducing rashes, and preventing acne.
Coconut oil can nourish and soothe problematic skin types. This amazing and extremely powerful natural beauty product supports healthy skin and can replace all those expensive (and possibly toxic) beauty products. So, why spending too much money on these expensive cosmetic products, when you can get the same effects with this all-natural ingredients, without any side effects.
The coconut oil helps in better absorption of vitamin E and this was shown in a study from 1999 in Canada at the University of Western Ontario. The study showed that the combination of vitamin E with coconut oil through the skin is an amazing alternative for those who have gastrointestinal malabsorption diseases.

How to Clean Your Face With Coconut Oil?
What You’ll Need:
Organic, unrefined coconut oil.
What You’ll Do:
Step 1: Put about a teaspoon of coconut oil into the palm of your hand
Step 2: Warm the oil up in your hands by rubbing your hands back and forth
Step 3: Gently massage the oil into your face using small, circular strokes for at least 1 minute
Step 4: Rinse a washcloth under very warm water, wring out the excess water, and let the cloth sit on your face for 30 seconds
Step 5: Gently wipe the oil from your face
Step 6: Repeat step 4 and step 5 if necessary
The warm cloth will open up your pores and allow the coconut oil to go inside and push out all that dirt that’s inside.
Overtime, coconut oil is supposed to help even skin tone and reduce the size of your pores. You can also use this in the shower, but I don’t recommend washing it off right away. Let your skin absorb it for a few minutes before you try to remove any excess oil.
Don’t fear the coconut oil! It is packed with great stuff for your body, like healthy omega 3s, something we all could use.
